Why Should YOU invest in the Chamber?

Your participation in the Area Chamber of Commerce is an investment in the future growth of the area, from which you benefit. You are a citizen of the Fremont Area, doing business in the area, making your livelihood here, and in general sharing in it's prosperity. Investing in the Chamber is a legitimate part of your cost of doing business and is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax deductible investment. A membership plaque lets others know you support the community and they can do the same by buying from you. The Chamber publishes a newsletter that keeps you informed of events in the town. It also provides an opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences and fellowship with your peers in the business community at the meetings.

The Chamber is an information center that answers questions and forwards information concerning all facets of Fremont from business, products, new comers, services, retail & tourism, as well as demographic information. The office maintains a database of chamber member’s addresses, phone numbers, business categories, and number of employees and recommends the service of its members.

Referrals
The Chamber receives many calls, letters and emails requesting specific needs. These requests are referred to Chamber member businesses. Chamber members receive a competitive advantage over non-members.
Networking
Through chamber sponsored events and activities; there are many opportunities to make valuable business contacts.
Quarterly Newsletter
The Chamber provides a quarterly newsletter to help keep its members informed about what’s going on in the community and within the chamber. Let the Chamber help you with your advertising, this give you exposure to over 200 local readers.
Quarterly Membership Luncheons and after-hours meeting
The second Thursday of each month a chamber membership luncheon or After-hours gathering is held. Typically, a member business will sponsor this event and has an opportunity to showcase their business. Either the sponsor or the chamber brings in a speaker to talk about a membership topic of interest.

Maps of the county and town are available in the chamber office.
Economic Development
The chamber is aggressively working to retain and promote existing and possible new business and industry for the Fremont Area.
Legislative Updates
Many voices speak louder that one; the chamber monitors current legislation, keeping the membership informed on issues that may affect their business.
Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Services
The chamber can assist you in any special ribbon cutting or grand opening ceremony, in addition to providing media coverage for your special event.

Each chamber member is listed on the chambers web site, along with a mailing address, telephone number, contact person and email address. This listing also states the type of service each member offers.
Annual Golf Outing
The annual chamber golf outing is one of the main events of the chamber, raising funds for operation and special projects. Additionally, advertising opportunities are offered to members during this event.
Annual Membership Meeting
Annual Gathering of Chamber Members to here accomplishments of the organization. Financial and sub-committee annual reports are also provided. New Board members are selected at this meeting.

A listing of Fremont area Business and Industry in label or spread sheet format.
Calendar of Events
We compile and print an annual calendar of events, specifically citing local festivals and special events throughout the area.
